Rheinfels Castle is located on a hill near St. Goar. There is a limited number of paid parking spaces on site. 

Bus route 681 runs from St. Goar to Rheinfels Castle. This makes the ascent to Rheinfels Castle easier if you are traveling by public transport. You can return to St. Goar on the 682 line.

The nearest train station is St. Goar, from where you can either take a bus connection to the castle or walk. The train connections to St. Goar are good, there are regional trains every hour.
